Kathy and her husband Gary have been active members of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Frisco, TX since 2001. While raising three sons, Kathy was volunteered teaching in faith formation, developing the religious emblem program for Boy Scouts, and coordinating local community outreach projects. She developed the Destination Imagination program in partnership with FISD as a Frisco parent volunteer. With a strong belief in prayer, Kathy lead Moms in Prayer groups in Frisco and later at Jesuit College Prep where the three boys attended high school. As a volunteer in the Jesuit community through Jesuit Women’s Auxiliary, Kathy was introduced to Angels of Charity. She volunteered with refugee services providing GED tutoring and later assisting in the mission of Parenting, Pregnancy and Adoption. Kathy has served on the Angels of Charity board for five years. She has supported Hope for the Holidays, Christmas Distribution, the Bishop’s Gala and the Annual Spring Luncheon. She has a passion for outreach and connecting volunteers to the needs of Catholic Charities Dallas. Originally from Virginia, Kathy attended The College of William and Mary for her undergraduate studies in chemistry. She earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education at George Mason University. Recently, Kathy completed her Master’s in Professional Counseling. Kathy and Gary have been joyfully married for 32 years and enjoy spending time with their three sons plus two daughters in law.
