Sahil Gilani received his bachelor’s degree (with Honors) in Religious Studies and Political Science from Emory University. Sahil started off as a Resettlement Case Work Intern at the International Rescue Committee before joining Catholic Charities Dallas as a Refugee Resettlement Case Manager. During his time here, Sahil progressed through additional roles, such as Project Specialist and Executive Assistant to the Chief Services Officer, where he helped lead the agency through reaccreditation from the Council on Accreditation. It was also during this time that he went on to obtain his master’s degree in Social Work (with Honors) and is now a Licensed Master Social Worker. Sahil went on to Human Rights Initiative where he was the Director of Social Services. Now, he is back where he calls home, providing macro-level, programmatic leadership as the Director of Programs for CCD’s Refugee and Disaster Services and helps serve the vulnerable populations that he is most-passionate about rebuild their lives and gain self-sufficiency.
