Mobile food pantry at St Francis Frisco

On 3/28/20, our Mobile Community Pantry traveled to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco, where volunteers distributed meat, potatoes, fruit and grains to over 100 families in need.

Gina’s Story

“My name is Gina Garcia, and I am a wife and young mother of two children. Two months ago, I went to Catholic Charities Dallas food distribution after disaster had struck – my husband had lost his job and fell into a deep depression, and I did not know how I was going to provide for my family or pay our rent and utilities.

Food pantry at Catholic Charities Mockingbird Central Service Station

On 4/16/20, our food pantry was busier than ever. We served more than 120 families with the help of our incredible volunteer team. Cars lined up for hours to receive food, diapers, and other non-perishables.

We are seeing an unprecedented number of families and individuals being serving in the wake of COVID-19.

Help us meet the need during COVID-19

Your generous gift can change a life today.

Thank you for making a difference

As Catholic Charities Dallas works to keep our employees and volunteers safe, we are cognizant of the extraordinary needs in the community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your financial support is allowing us to shift our expansive food distribution program from in-person client visits at our food pantries to drive-through food pick-up locations.

Our staff are also working one-on-one with those in need of emergency financial assistance, fielding phone calls and email requests and connecting individuals and families with critical funds to help those who are suddenly out of work pay rent, utilities and other bills and navigate unemployment and other benefits.

We are the right call for all in need – today and every day. Thank you for your partnership in our work.
