Childcare/Respite Worker – International Foster Care – Fort Worth, TX
Catholic Charities Dallas is looking for Child Care/Respite Workers to join our team. You will be part of the Children’s Services program.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Support
Provide client support to assist refugee foster youth in meeting their service plan goals. Provide appropriate levels of supervision outlined in client service plans and agency foster parent directives. The childcare/respite worker provides supervision of up to five foster youth ranging in age 0-19 in an agency foster home. Currently hiring for daytime weekend shifts and occasional weekday evening shifts . Primarily Saturday & Sunday shifts. 8-12 hour shifts depending on need. Bilingual English/Spanish -urgently needed! Life Skills
Provide life skills development to help refugee foster youth adjust, acculturate and prepare for successful, independent living.
Compliance
Maintain compliance with Standards of Care in the agency home, including ensuring training requirements remain current and assistance is sought in areas of concern.
QUALIFICATIONS
- H.S. diploma, some college preferred.
- Minimum age- 21.
- Bilingual in current refugee/immigrant language
- One plus year of previous childcare experience required
- Valid U.S. drivers license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Strong organizational and time management skills required
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals from diverse cultures and ethnicities

This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $12.00 to $13.50 per hour, based on skills and experience.
