Mater Maria ofrece vivienda segura y manejo de casos dedicado para mujeres embarazadas que enfrentan la falta de vivienda o inestabilidad financiera.

Bienvenida a Mater Maria

Promovemos la vida al ofrecer un entorno acogedor donde las futuras madres pueden enfocarse en un embarazo saludable y el vínculo temprano con su bebé. Nuestro hogar brinda el apoyo, la educación y la comunidad necesarios para prepararse para la maternidad.

Arraigado en la tradición católica, Mater Maria da la bienvenida a mujeres embarazadas sin importar su estado civil, situación económica, raza o religión.

Lo que Ofrecemos

Mater Maria proporciona a las futuras madres una residencia segura y un sistema integral de apoyo que incluye comidas nutritivas, artículos para el bebé y capacitación en habilidades para la vida. Algunos servicios dependen de la disponibilidad de voluntarios

Vivienda

Contamos con dos casas Mater Maria ubicadas en el Condado de Collin. Cada casa puede albergar hasta diez madres y sus bebés. La duración de la estancia varía según las necesidades individuales. Las madres viven bajo la supervisión de una madre encargada residente, conocida como Ima. Durante su estancia, ofrecemos sin costo:

  • Dormitorio compartido amueblado
  • Baño compartido, artículos de higiene y toallas
  • Tres comidas nutritivas al día
  • Artículos para el bebé
  • Lavandería en el hogar
  • Acceso a tecnología

Cuidado

En Mater Maria, las madres aprenden a reconocer y valorar su dignidad como personas y la vida que llega a sus familias. Ofrecemos:

  • Servicios de consejería y bienestar supervisados por un terapeuta licenciado
  • Programas de promoción de la salud y lactancia dirigidos por una enfermera registrada y una consultora certificada en lactancia

Vivienda Independiente Supervisada

Dependemos de un equipo comprometido de voluntarios y colaboradores. Gracias al apoyo de profesionales de la salud, consejeros, educadores y otros miembros de la comunidad, brindamos apoyo integral adaptado a cada madre.

  • Oración en grupo y orientación espiritual*
  • Tutoría GED y clases de inglés (ESL)
  • Capacitación laboral y etiqueta profesional
  • Desarrollo de currículum y manejo del tiempo
  • Actividades de arte y manualidades
  • Apoyo con solicitudes de vivienda y planes de transición
  • *La participación en actividades religiosas es voluntaria.

Cada madre recibe el acompañamiento de una Doula para apoyo personalizado. También ofrecemos talleres educativos, tutorías y capacitación laboral según las necesidades individuales.

Apoyo Diario

Mientras nuestras madres se enfocan en su futuro, nosotros cuidamos el presente. Brindamos servicios esenciales para que cada residente viva con dignidad y tranquilidad:

Comidas

Tres comidas nutritivas al día.

Ropa

Ropa para madres durante y después del embarazo, y para sus bebés.

Transporte

Traslado a citas médicas y otras necesidades.

Salud

Apoyo para seguir las indicaciones médicas y mantener su salud antes y después del parto.

Bienestar

Acompañamiento emocional, cuidado personal y planificación de vida.

Cuidado del Bebé

Educación, capacitación, alimentos y utensilios para prepararse para la llegada del bebé.

Desarrollo Personal

Clases y oportunidades de crecimiento personal.

Orientación Espiritual

Opcional: clases semanales, rosario diario y misa mensual.

Meals

We provide three nutritious meals
every day to support the mothers’ well-being.

Clothing

We offer clothing for mothers during and after pregnancy, as well as for their baby.

Transportation

We can provide transportation for mothers to doctor’s appointments and for other needs.

Health

We offer support to mothers to help them follow doctor’s instructions and maintain their health during and after pregnancy.

Well-Being

Along with health support, we ensure mothers have the emotional guidance, personal care, and life planning assistance they may need.

Baby Care

We offer a range of services such as education, training, baby food, and supplies to assist mothers in preparing for their child’s arrival.

Personal Development

We offer various classes and networking opportunities to help mothers enhance their personal skills.

Spiritual Orientation

Mothers have the option to attend weekly classes, daily rosary, and monthly masses.

Mater Maria atiende únicamente a mujeres embarazadas de 18 años o más que no cuentan con vivienda al momento de recibir asistencia. Después del parto, la madre y el bebé pueden permanecer hasta ocho meses.

Mater Maria se reserva el derecho de aceptar o rechazar solicitudes según la urgencia de la situación y la seguridad de las residentes actuales.

Al contactarnos, programaremos una entrevista para conocer su situación y cómo podemos ayudarle. Después de evaluar su caso, determinaremos si Mater Maria es el lugar adecuado para usted. De ser así, será invitada a visitar las instalaciones y a conocer a otras madres.

No somos una institución educativa, médica ni gubernamental. Mater Maria forma parte de Catholic Charities Dallas y opera cumpliendo con las regulaciones estatales y federales. Nuestro trabajo se enfoca en proteger el bienestar, la salud y el mejor interés de las madres y sus bebés.

Responsabilidades y Expectativas

Se espera que todas las madres:

  • Cumplan con las reglas del hogar
  • Coordinen sus servicios médicos y los de su bebé
  • Sigan las indicaciones de su médico
  • Sigan las instrucciones de la madre encargada (Ima)
  • Participen en talleres educativos
  • Cumplan con sus tareas asignadas de manera puntual

Mater Maria reserves the right to accept or deny the admission of any applicant based on the urgency to provide housing and the safeguard of the current residents.

Upon contacting us, we will set up an interview with one of our staff members to learn more about you and how we may help you. After the interview, we will assess if Mater Maria is the right place for you. If this is the case, you will be invited to visit the facilities and then introduced to the other mothers living in the house.

We are not an educational, medical, or government facility. Mater Maria is part of Catholic Charities Dallas and must comply with federal and state regulations to operate the house. Our work is to advocate for the welfare, health, and best interest of the mothers and babies currently living in the house.
