Parking & Valet Information

There are two parking entrances located off Lamar Street. For valet, please enter off Lamar closest to Hops and Hens. Please be prepared to share that you are attending Catholic Charities Bishop’s Gala. If you prefer to self-park, there is a dedicated entrance off Lamar, close to Café Herrera. Please refer to the map.

Traffic Update

Due to ongoing construction, all lanes of eastbound and westbound I-30 will be fully closed between IH-35E and IH-45/US-75 on the night of our event. During the closure, traffic will be detoured off IH-30 and redirected to alternate routes. The primary signed detour will route drivers to Woodall Rodgers Freeway (Spur-366), which will serve as the main east-west connection between IH-35E and IH-45/US-75 while IH-30 is closed.

Even with detours in place, significant delays are expected, especially during peak travel times. Drivers should plan for extra travel time or consider alternate routes if possible.

Featuring live entertainment by Kool & the Gang!

From Nairobi to Newark, Kool & the Gang has performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history. Their undeniable funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled R&B band of all time. Every year, even after a half-century on the road, yields a non-stop schedule of shows across the globe.

Thanks to iconic songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness, and Open Sesame, they’ve earned several awards, a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame, an induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June 2018 and most recently, an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – Class of 2024.

Today, the group enjoys global fame and recognition along with a following that spans generations due in part to the group’s widely sampled catalogue. Their music is heard everywhere, from movie soundtracks to television commercials, including Rocky, Saturday Night Fever, Pulp Fiction, Wreck-It Ralph and countless others.

Serving Until It’s Solved

Each ticket, sponsorship, and auction item bid directly benefits Catholic Charities Dallas. Each year, more than 200,000 clients from all walks of life enter through our doors to be met with hope, dignity, and positive life transformations. Through our many programs and services, we impact lives by alleviating hunger, preventing homelessness, educating the disadvantaged, protecting the innocent, and welcoming the stranger.

Catholic Charities is a blessing to the Diocese of Dallas and to the people they serve within these nine counties of North Texas. Their good work manifests God’s love to the vulnerable, the outcast, the stranger, and the poor. They constantly reflect the call to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mt 22:39).
