Michael (Mike) J. Murray was raised in Dallas, attending St. Paul the Apostle School and Jesuit College Prep. Mike graduated from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.

Mike taught, coached and served as the Admissions Officer at Jesuit before attending SMU law school. Upon graduation he worked for the Collin County District Attorney as a prosecutor and then in private practice for 13 years. In 2010 Mike opened the Dallas-Ft. Worth office of Heroic Media, a pro-life media organization, as the Executive Director. He built a broad and deep base of support that has sustained Heroic Media as a thriving, life-saving ministry. Mike joined the Catholic Foundation as Senior Development Officer in 2014, specializing in donor relations, community outreach and planned-giving in support of the educational, charitable and religious needs of the local Catholic community.

Mike served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Catholic Pro-Life Committee for ten years and currently serves as an ad hoc member of the marketing committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Dallas, the Mary Immaculate School Advisory Board, the American Public Philosophy Institute local committee, the St. Thomas More Society Board and has hosted two radio shows on DFW Catholic radio, KATH 910 AM.

As the Chief Development Officer of Catholic Charities Dallas since August 2019 Mike manages the development, marketing and event staff and cultivates major gifts. Mike’s purpose is to fully fund the mission of Catholic Charities by engaging the community in support of Catholic Charities life-changing programs and services.

Mike and his wife Colette live in Dallas, Texas with their five children ages nineteen to five and belong to Mary Immaculate Catholic Church.
