Help alleviate hunger in Dallas!

Our Food Program is one of the first steps our agency takes to fight poverty by alleviating hunger. Catholic Charities Dallas collects materials from food drives, volunteer donations or orders that are then sent to North Texas Food Bank, where they are distributed.

We strive to provide nutritionally balanced foods to our clients. We do this by collecting, sorting and providing an inventory of all foods that come to Catholic Charities Dallas.

In collaboration with professional nutritionists and the USDA’s choosemyplate.gov diet guidelines, we provide boxes that are prepared to suit the health needs of individuals and families.

Our current needs include:

  • Canned beans (15 oz.)
  • Canned fruit (15 oz.)
  • Canned meat (any size)
  • Canned soup (15 oz.)
  • Canned vegetables (15 oz.)
  • Cereal and Oatmeal (16-17 oz.)
  • Dry beans (any size)
  • Pasta (any size- no ramen)
  • Rice (5 lbs. or less)

Donations can be dropped off at any of our service site locations.
If you are interested in donating, please contact Edwin Chinchilla at 927.246.6027.
