Celebrating Independence Day is a great reminder of the gift of freedom we have here in the United States that many people around the world risk their lives to experience.

At Catholic Charities, our primary goal is to treat refugees, asylees, and immigrants among us with the respect and dignity they deserve. We believe that every person deserves equal representation and access to legal services, regardless of status.

Our Immigration Legal Services assist with family visa petitions, citizenship applications, representation of vulnerable persons in legal proceedings, and other crucial services.

The role of our Immigration Legal Services team includes ensuring that we are providing a broad range of immigration representation to immigrants and their families. Our program caseworkers are committed to helping individuals understand the law as well as their rights under the law.

Because of the nature of our services, we are always seeking assistance from pro bono attorneys and law students. We would love to have you volunteer to serve our clients and ensure that they are treated with dignity and respect.

If you would like to assist in legal work, please fill out the survey on our website by clicking the button below so we can apply your skills where they fit best.

If you do not have a legal background but are still interested in volunteer opportunities related to any of these services, contact our volunteer team at  volunteer@ccdallas.org.

Thank you, until next time!
