CCD Parish Update - February 2026

It’s tax season! Have you filed yet? At Catholic Charities Dallas, we know that filing an accurate tax return is so important to those we serve, especially if it means getting a little extra money back this time of year.

We are excited to have four VITA tax sites this year. VITA Stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, and our volunteers have been training for a few months to help clients navigate their taxes. Organized by our Next Gen Wealth Academy, our goal is to help individuals and families create a positive relationship with money.

Individuals who make less than $67,000 a year are eligible for this free tax preparation service. For more information, and for the link to make an appointment, please click here. We also have included some graphics to share in your parish communications.

Please note that currently CCD has been asked to have our sites in Plano and McKinney. If your parishioners are unable to travel to these locations, they can get connected with other VITA tax sites by visiting irs.gov.

No matter where you live, anyone can get connected with our Next Gen Wealth Academy! Individuals can access free financial coaching, employment services, and resource support services. Our coaches are standing by to assist families either virtually or in person, and in English or Spanish. We also have a Spanish Business Bootcamp starting up on March 4th! Come learn from experts and take your business to the next level.
