Our team works tirelessly to provide case management, time-limited housing intervention programs, and long-term assistance and housing to other individuals experiencing homelessness.
In partnership with Housing Forward, Catholic Housing Initiative, and other community partners, CCD houses close to 600 formerly unhoused individuals across 3 locations.
All residents have access to comprehensive case management and can enjoy a robust schedule of optional activities such as fitness classes, prayer services, visits from the Parkland mobile unit, monthly birthday celebrations, activities such as talent shows, and more.
Most importantly, all residents are given a key to their room and a permanent address, complete with a mailbox. It is truly life-changing to experience standing next to a new St. Jude resident when they see their room or get their key for the first time.
As the gap between income and housing costs grows, more people face homelessness. At Catholic Charities, we are always looking for ways to respond to the needs of our community.
