CCD Parish Update - November 2025

November is often a month where families gather together and share a meal. This year, however, many families are struggling to afford food. Hunger Services at CCD works hard every day to make sure families in our community have healthy food to eat, and so much more.

With our three choice pantries, six mobile food trucks, and box food programs, we are able to hand out more than 9 million pounds of food each year. This is in great part due to our partnership with the North Texas Food Bank, and parishes like yours! We are looking for some more parishes and schools to host food drives for us. Recently, we’ve seen a big drop in the protein donations we can hand out. Canned meat such as tuna fish, canned shredded chicken, and canned ham are a big need right now.

Would you consider hosting a food drive? We make it easy by dropping off a cart that can stay in your narthex or lobby and picking it up when it’s full! Donations will help us continue to serve those in need. Please see the flyer below with more details.

One of our auxiliary groups, the Archangels Men’s Network, has a mission to help with our hunger efforts. You may know some of them in your pews who help organize food drives for CCD already!

They also serve the community in a variety of ways, including service projects at parishes and schools. If your parish campus has needs such as small repairs or shelves built in a storage area, please reach out to dbuschow@ccdallas.org!
