Breakfast with the Bishop – October 2023

The Archangels hosted a record-breaking Breakfast with the Bishop this year! The event broke two records: one for the highest attendance ever, and the other for most money raised to assist food-insecure families in the DFW area.

Our guest speaker, John Stankey, CEO of AT&T, set the tone with an inspirational talk about personal values, faith, and commitment. It was truly an honor to welcome him to our event, and we appreciate his words of wisdom.

During the breakfast, we welcomed Mark Koch as our new president for the next two years. Rick Donnelli, our previous president, was honored as the Archangel of the Year. Thank you, Rick, for all you have done for the community and for Catholic Charities!

Archangels Service Project – October 2023

On October 21, we held our first volunteer effort of the year at the Cardinal Farrell Community Center on West Davis Street. The Archangels along with Dave Woodyard, CEO of Catholic Charities Dallas, provided a much-needed grounds cleanup and beautification with new stones and crushed granite.

Next up will be a cleanup at the St. Jude Center. Additional details will follow soon!

22nd Annual Hope for the Holidays – November 2023

The 22nd Annual Hope for the Holidays, sponsored by our sisters, the Angels of Charity, was a success! Our congratulations to the Angels for another outstanding event to make sure as many families as possible enjoy the Christmas season. Each year, the Archangels play a small part in assisting with the parking duties for their guests.

All proceeds from Hope for the Holidays support the Christmas Distribution Program, which provides Christmas gifts for over 700 families in need throughout our community. If you did not have a chance to attend the event, you can still support the Christmas Distribution program by making a gift at ccdallas.org/christmas-giving.

Christmas Distribution – December 2022

Calling all Archangels! We are seeking volunteers to help out at this year’s Christmas Distribution, which will take place on Friday, December 8, and Saturday, December 9. The Christmas Distribution will be held at the Cardinal Farrell Community Center (4550 W Davis St Bldg 6, Dallas, TX 75211) beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Volunteers are needed on the day of the distribution to help direct the flow of traffic, as well as prior to the distribution to help prepare the bundles of gifts that will be given to client families.

We are always glad to support the Angels of Charity in this great project, which touches so many lives every year. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up by clicking the button below or contacting the CCD Volunteer Team at volunteer@ccdallas.org.

St. Jude Park Central Co-Work & Coffee Space

On December 12, 2023, all Archangels are invited to join the Archangel board members for coffee and donuts at the new Co-Work & Coffee space at St. Jude Park Central (8102 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Dallas, TX 75251). This is a great opportunity to stay connected, network and visit, and see firsthand some of the great work CCD does every day. This event will take place on the second Tuesday of every month and will begin at 7:30 a.m. Come meet your fellow Archangels and learn more about how to get involved!

25th Annual Bishop’s Gala – January 2023

The 26th Annual Bishop’s Gala is just around the corner! Grab some friends or family to enjoy an incredible night. Enjoy dinner, auctions, and dancing to live performances by the Temptations and the Four Tops while you and your guests help support CCD’s important work.

We have expanded our reach by partnering with 90+ Mobile Community Pantry locations throughout the nine counties of the Diocese of Dallas. The Archangels Men’s Network is a social and service network of men across the Diocese of Dallas providing opportunities for fellowship, service, and outreach through a variety of initiatives, events, and financial and social activities that strengthen and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Dallas.

Vision

The Archangels fulfill this mission in the following ways:

• Serving others by providing support– spiritually, physically, or financially to Catholic Charities of Dallas.
• Forming a unique resource of diverse skills and talent.
• Providing a network of men through friendship and faith across the Diocese of Dallas.
