YCP and the Archangels
After a very active fall, the Archangels started the spring in collaboration with the Young Catholic Professionals for a Happy Hour at the St. Jude Center – Park Central. We enjoyed spending the evening networking and meeting each other. At the event, CCD showcased the St. Jude Park Central, their mission, and the Co-Work and Coffee space. Joe’s Pantry stocking – March 2024
Stocking shelves at Joe’s Pantry
The following weekend, the Archangels and Young Catholic Professionals volunteers from the previous Happy Hour event came together again to stock shelves in preparation for the opening of Joe’s Pantry. Joe’s Pantry is CCD’s newest Client Choice Pantry, located at the St. Jude Center – Park Central.
We celebrated the opening of Joe’s Pantry on March 7, 2024, with a ribbon-cutting event. Community partners and major donors attended the event, including executives from the North Texas Food Bank, Catholic Housing Initiative, and the City of Dallas. The pantry is now serving St. Jude residents and people experiencing food insecurity in nearby communities. Thank you to everyone who helped make Joe’s Pantry a reality!
Archangel Spring Service Project – May 2023
Service project: The Cottages
In April, the Archangels signed off on two very important projects. Our first project consisted of installing banisters and railings at The Cottages for the chronically homeless, which are managed by CCD. Through this project, we helped provide a safe and relaxing environment for the residents at The Cottages.
Upcoming Service Project – August 10
We will be organizing another service project on August 10 at 7:30 a.m. at the Marillac Senior Center, which will involve refinishing dressers and desks for the children at St. Mary’s Shelter, CCD’s Children’s Services support facility. 3rd Annual Archangels Cup – May 2024
3rd Annual Archangels Cup
Finishing the spring strong and kicking off the summer, the Archangels held their 3rd Annual Archangels Cup, won by the Blue Team. Thanks to our generous sponsors, volunteers, and players, we were able to provide 180,000 meals to food-insecure families through CCD’s Hunger Services mission. Thank you to all who contributed to this event, and remember to check your emails for the date of next year’s Archangels Cup!

13th Annual Breakfast with the Bishop
Thursday, October 3 | St. Paul the Apostle Parish Center
The Archangels’ signature event, Breakfast with the Bishop, will take place on the morning of Thursday, October 3, at the St. Paul Parish Center. Join us for a morning of fellowship and faith and learn more about the mission of CCD and the Archangels Men’s Network.
We are excited to announce that Jonathan J. Sanford, the President of the University of Dallas, will be featured as our guest speaker for this year. Please keep an eye on your email for a save-the-date with more information. We hope to see you there!
26th Annual Bishop’s Gala – January 2024

January 25, 2025 | 6:00 p.m.
It is never too soon to make plans for the 2025 Bishop’s Gala! The Bishop’s Gala is Catholic Charities Dallas’ annual fundraiser, benefitting the eleven service groups and over 39 programs of Catholic Charities Dallas. Enjoy dinner, auctions, and dancing to live entertainment while you and your guests help support CCD’s important work.

Latest news from the organization
- Hunger Services Update: Our Hunger Services Team has distributed 6,011,096 meals and 7,213,313 pounds of food YTD! Thank you, Archangels, for your assistance and constant support of our Hunger Services mission to eliminate hunger in North Texas.
- St. Jude Center – Vantage Point: St. Jude Vantage Point is CCD’s third center providing permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals. We have recently begun to welcome our first residents to this facility. When fully occupied, St. Jude Vantage Point will house 136 residents ages 18 and older. - Summer Volunteer Opportunities: Looking for ways to get involved this summer? We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities tailored to your skills and interests, available in various locations across the DFW area. Mission
The Archangels Men’s Network is a social and service network of men across the Diocese of Dallas providing opportunities for fellowship, service, and outreach through a variety of initiatives, events, and financial and social activities that strengthen and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Dallas.
Vision
The Archangels fulfill this mission in the following ways:
- Serving others by providing support– spiritually, physically, or financially to Catholic Charities of Dallas.
- Forming a unique resource of diverse skills and talent.
- Providing a network of men through friendship and faith across the Diocese of Dallas.
Commitment
As a network of Catholic men, the Archangels are called to join together through unique, social, and philanthropic opportunities within our community– to share our faith with one another, to pray and work together, encourage others to join in our mission, and to support each other along the way.
