The giving season is upon us! This time of year, we receive many phone calls and emails regarding in-kind donations, which we appreciate so much!
We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to see our current needs and created a dedicated space on our website devoted to in-kind donation requests. When you visit the site, you can search through our programs to see the most needed items for those we are currently serving.
With the holidays around the corner, our goal is to spread holiday cheer to as many individuals and families as we can! We are collecting new pillows, pillow cases, and $35 Walmart gift cards for our St. Jude residents to receive as a Christmas gift.
We are also gearing up for our annual Christmas Distribution event in early December which benefits families across all CCD missions. This event is so touching – there is nothing quite like seeing families lined up in their cars waiting to receive their brand-new gifts for their children so that they can experience the magic and joy of Christmas. Make a gift to support the Christmas Distribution. There are also volunteer opportunities available if you are interested!
Additionally, we have an Amazon Wish List specifically for Catholic Charities Dallas. Many items are needed year-round, and when you shop for the items on our wish list, there is an option to have them sent straight to CCD which will allow us to share those items with our clients quickly and save you a trip to Mockingbird!
If you’re looking for an interactive way to support CCD this holiday season, you can visit one of the Giving Machines – an actual vending machine with giving opportunities that will directly support our CCD missions. We are honored to be selected as one of only six charity partners this year. The concept is amazing – with a swipe of your credit card at one of their red vending machines, you can purchase gift cards ranging from $6 to $150. 100% of all donations will come back to CCD for us to share with our clients in need. They have three DFW locations in Grapevine, Frisco, and McKinney.
