DALLAS/ FT WORTH (March 25, 2026) — The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) and Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) are partnering to provide nutritious food to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers and their families impacted by the partial government shutdown.
On Friday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., NTFB and TAFB will host food distributions for TSA officers at DFW Airport. NTFB will operate a distribution on the north side of the employee parking lot, while TAFB will host a distribution on the south side. Because these events will take place in restricted employee parking areas, they will not be open to the public.
Additionally, on Monday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Catholic Charities Dallas and the North Texas Food Bank will host a food distribution for Love Field Airport employees in the airport’s employee parking lot.
Both DFW Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport employees are also collecting non-perishable food, household, hygiene, and baby items, as well as gas/grocery gift cards, to support federal aviation employees affected by the government shutdown.
Families who attend will receive approximately 60 pounds of fresh and shelf‑stable groceries to help offset the loss of income during the partial government shutdown.
All distributions will operate as drive‑through events. Registration is not required; however, participants must arrive in a vehicle. Food will be distributed on a first‑come, first‑served basis while supplies last.
These food distributions are designated exclusively for employees impacted by the government shutdown and are not open to the public. Neighbors in need of food assistance can find nearby food pantries and mobile food distributions by visiting NTFB.org, TAFB.org, and ccdallas.org.
