Rapid Rehousing
Medium-term rental assistance and supportive services program that rapidly re-houses and stabilizes homeless households into permanent housing. This enables these individuals to quickly regain stability in permanent housing.
Case management includes but is not limited to the following services:
- Housing location and landlord negotiations and mediations
- Housing stabilization planning with client input
- Employment assistance with financial management
- Connection to mainstream resources and other services
- Assistance in applying for public benefits or other housing options
Homeless Diversion
Homeless diversion helps individuals experiencing
homelessness find safe, stable housing outside of
shelters. It focuses on brief, unsheltered homelessness
and connects clients with services or financial assistance
to return to permanent housing.
Unlike prevention, which aids those at risk but still
housed, diversion supports individuals in transitional
living situations and need temporary financial assistance
to secure a permanent housing solution. Applicants
whose applications are accepted will receive limited
financial assistance and must agree to three months of
case management. Please complete this form to see if
you qualify for services.
Catholic Charities Dallas relies on the Coordinated Access System managed by Housing Forward to ensure that the most vulnerable and disadvantaged are screened and selected. Our programs do not accept outside referrals, calls for residency, or walk-ins.
St. Jude Centers only accept referrals directly from social service agencies or Housing Forward. Client must be working with a social service agency, documented as homeless in the Housing Forward housing priority list, and pass a background screening before being accepted as a resident at either St. Jude Center. Also, the referring agency must provide case management and secure the subsidy (through grants or vouchers) for each resident referred to St. Judes.
