November 2022

Hi! My name is Kelly Noonan, and I’m the Chief Development Officer at Catholic Charities Dallas.

Did you know that November is the month of gratitude? It makes sense if you think about it – November holds an abundance of special days of awareness and observances to celebrate.

I’ve been part of the Catholic Charities team for 5 months now, and I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude every morning when I walk through our doors. It’s incredible to see first-hand how hard our staff works and how much they genuinely care for our clients. We are so blessed to have a strong community of volunteers and donors that allow us to make a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and families.

The Angels of Charity members have been hard at work planning our annual Christmas distribution event, and I can’t wait to see the families receive their Christmas gifts on December 10. For many, it will be the only gifts they receive this year. Additionally, this gives families the ability to catch up on bills and keep food on their tables.  If you’d like to be a part of making Christmas come alive for thousands of people this season, please donate using the link below.

There is a line in the Prayer of St. Francis that says, “For it is in giving that we receive…”. That line always speaks to me because of how true it really is. When we give of ourselves – whether it be through serving others with our time or our treasure – we truly receive something in return. Our clients’ needs will only increase as we head into the colder months, and we need YOUR support to meet the needs of the homeless, the hungry, and the underserved. As we head into the advent season, my hope is that you will think of Catholic Charities and consider an end of year gift or even a recurring monthly gift to help us help all in need.

Your support has and continues to make a significant impact. I speak for our entire team at Catholic Charities when I say that we are grateful for each and every one of you.
