Hi, my name is Kelly Noonan, and I serve as the Chief Development Officer at Catholic Charities Dallas. The giving season is upon us, and this time of year, we receive a lot of phone calls and emails regarding in-kind donations, which we appreciate so much!
We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to see our current needs and created a dedicated space on our website devoted to in-kind donation requests. When you visit the site, you can search through our programs to see the most needed items for those we are currently serving.
With the holidays around the corner, we are spreading holiday cheer to as many individuals and families as we can! We are collecting new full or queen-size blankets and bath towels for our St. Jude residents to receive as a Christmas gift.
We are also gearing up for our annual Christmas Distribution event in early December which benefits families across all CCD missions. This event is so touching – there is nothing quite like seeing families lined up in their cars waiting to receive their brand-new gifts for their children, so that they can experience the magic and joy of Christmas. The link to support that amazing initiative is included below and there are also volunteer opportunities available if you are interested!
Additionally, we have an Amazon Wish List specifically for Catholic Charities Dallas. Many items are needed year-round, and when you shop for the items on our wish list, there is an option to have them sent straight to CCD which will allow us to share those items with our clients quickly and save you a trip to Mockingbird!
Please note that to uphold the dignity and safety of our clients, many of the items on the list must be donated in new condition. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to store items, so we are unable to accept furniture. Our goal is always to get items to our clients as quickly as possible as our storage space is extremely limited.
Looking ahead, we will be sharing more about our end of year campaign and literature will be arriving in your mailbox and inbox soon. I know there are so many worthy nonprofits to support, and we are so grateful that you choose us!
